Natural rubber provides a secure surface to counter any slipping hazards while the heat pressed felt fibers lock with the rug's backing and together it stops the rug from shifting or bunching and wrinkling. The pad will catch any dirt or contaminants that fall through the rug to stop them from reaching the floor and working into the floor's finish when the rug shifts.
