GASTROENTEROLOGY RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAM
Application Information for applicants to Gastroenterology: Sponsored Visa Trainees
Thank you for your interest in the Program. The application deadline is Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Candidates for interviews will be notified by September 30, 2009.
Interviews will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 and offers of acceptance will be made by November 1, 2009.
Note: International Medical Graduates who are Canadian citizens/Permanent Residents training in Internal Medicine in the U.S. are eligible to train in General Internal Medicine only. See the University of Toronto Department of Medicine website for more information. Use the “R4 Match” button on the home page at http://www.deptmedicine.utoronto.ca. Refer to Box C “International Medical Graduates (IMGs) Training in the U.S.”.
Sponsored Trainees: Application information is available on the Department of Medicine website. Use the “R4 Match” button on the home page http://www.deptmedicine.utoronto.ca. The documents you must submit are listed in Box D “International Visa-Trainees”. All documents listed are essential for a complete application. You must also follow the special requirements listed below for your application to Gastroenterology:
- Personal Statement - must be 1 ½ - 2 pages double spaced maximum, Font size 11 Arial preferred
- include a copy of medical school transcript
- letters of reference must be originals - photocopies are unacceptable
