GI Research Day - Call for Abstracts

We are currently accepting Abstracts for the University of Toronto, Division of Gastroenterology, GI Research Day. Abstracts will be reviewed and selected for both poster and oral presentations.

Poster should not be larger than 4ft (tall) x 8ft (wide). Oral presentations will be 10 min in length, followed by a 3 minute question period. AV equipment will be provided, for details please contact Melissa Couto at Melissa.Couto@Sunnybrook.ca. Presenters must use the AV equipment provided – it will not be possible to use your own laptop.   

The best basic science clinical research  abstracts will receive awards which will include a gift of $100. The Research Awards will be presented at the dinner by our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Nicholas Shaheen.

GUIDELINES

Abstracts should be original work in the field of digestive diseases. The abstract text should not exceed 500 words (excluding the abstract heading) and should be organized according to the following: background/objectives, methods, results and conclusions. Only students, residents and fellows are eligible to submit abstracts; faculty are not permitted to present but are ask to encourage their students, residents and fellows to submit.  Only submit an abstract if you will be available to present your work at GI Research Day (June 22nd 2011 after noon).  

HOW TO SUBMIT
Submitting your Abstract electronically is a simple, 4 Step Process:

STEP 1: Provide us with your contact information.
STEP 2: Enter author information for all authors.
STEP 3: Complete each section of the abstract details.
